Maintain Tips
Prep, always!
Pushing back cuticles ensures the press-on sits flush with your nail bed, preventing early lifting at the base.
Gently filing your natural nails creates a slightly rough texture that the adhesive can grip onto better.
Wiping with the alcohol prep pad helps remove natural oils, dirt, and moisture.
Avoid water initially
Keep your hands and nails completely dry for at least 2-3 hours after application to allow the glue/sticky tabs to fully cure and set.
Wear gloves for chores
Always wear gloves when washing dishes, cleaning with chemicals, or gardening. Prolonged water exposure can break down the adhesive.
Don't use nails as tools
Avoid using your press-on nails to open cans, scratch labels, or pick at things. Treat them gently to prevent the bond from being strained or broken.
Keep your cuticles hydrated
Hydrate your cuticles with oil. While it won't directly make the nail stick better, healthy cuticles prevent the skin from pulling or cracking near the nail edge, which can lead to lifting.
Carry glue for quick fixes
Keep a tube of nail glue handy for reapplication on the go. If a corner lifts, apply a tiny drop underneath and press firmly to reseal it immediately.
